The Sheet Metal and Air Conditioning Contractors’ National Association is an international trade association representing 1,834 member firms in 103 chapters throughout the United States, Canada, Australia, and Brazil. MCAA includes the Mechanical Service Contractors of America, the Plumbing Contractors of America, the Manufacturer/Supplier Council, the Mechanical Contracting Education and Research Foundation and the National Certified Pipe Welding Bureau.

Dexter + Chaney, developer of Spectrum® Construction Software, and Quote Software, maker of QuoteSoft estimating software, have integrated their products for the plumbing, mechanical and HVAC markets. Labor and materials estimate information is transferred electronically from QuoteSoft into Spectrum® , using Spectrums Esti-Link module. That saves time and increases accuracy for the contractor by eliminating manual re-entry of estimate data from QuoteSoft into Spectrum®.
After the estimate information is transferred to Spectrum, the contractor can review and revise any of the estimate details in Esti-Link. (Example: a project manager might change the subcontractor for one phase of the job.) Spectrum then automatically sets up the job detail in its job cost system and sets up the contract and subcontracts. As the job progresses, the contractor can compare job details against the original estimate.
