What You Will Do

The Training Specialist is highly active with supporting customers as they set up, train, maintain, and use the QuoteSoft estimating software products. Additionally, the Training Specialist will assist the sales and customer success teams by supporting customers who are experiencing issues. The ideal candidate is a teacher at heart, a natural communicator in providing instruction, and a creative thinker. The specialist is motivated by embracing a great customer experience and is comfortable using CRM system to monitor, track and take action using various communication strategies to support customers.

Your Day to Day Essential Duties

  • Provide scheduled product training sessions to new and existing customers in an online training environment. Responsible for being a subject matter expert on each of our software products, and can transfer detailed product usability knowledge to both customers and prospects
  • Document training path of our clients in CRM
  • Support Sr. Training Specialists with classroom training sessions as needed
  • Effectively triage calls for maximum positive outcome
  • Return customers calls from technical support Queue; resolve or elevate issue and document notes in CRM
  • Recommend and schedule next contact appointment with customer and/or scheduler
  • Proactively contact customers to coordinate and resolve identified training needs
  • Conduct group or individual customer training seminars using go-to-meeting, classroom, etc.
  • Communicate and document with Training Manager any at-risk customers (decreased usage, account issues, identified trends, etc.) and support resolution with various training techniques
  • Communicate any identified technical issues with platform, customer accounts, documentation, etc. with department managers
  • Complete daily reports of customer contact and interaction to identify efficiency and trends
  • Complete 2.5 hours of cross training with other training specialists per week

What You Bring to the Team

  • Experience in Construction, Estimating or Project Management or Associates degree
  • Experience using digital takeoff and estimating products such as On-Screen Takeoff, Quick Bid, , ConstructConnect Takeoff, Plan Swift, or QuoteSoft. QuoteSoft preferred.
  • 3 years’ experience in general contracting, commercial construction, or mechanical/ductwork subcontracting or sales.
  • Must present a professional, clear, and engaging approach.
  • Ability to work with all levels of internal staff, as well as outside clients and vendors
  • General proficiency in the use of most common business software, i.e., Microsoft Office Suite, Google Suite, Outlook, etc.
  • Thrive in a fast paced, changing environment

Physical Demands and Work Environment:

  • Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50% of the working day
  • Needs to occasionally move about the office to communicate with staff and attend meetings
  • Constantly operates a computer
  • Frequently communicates verbally with peers and management
  • Must be able to analyze detail close-up
