Offered for QuoteSoft Pipe and QuoteSoft Duct, these classroom sessions will cover:
- Creating your bid opportunity as a job in the program with the project plans for performing takeoff
- Analyzing project specifications against program data and how to customize each
- Performing takeoff
- Producing material and labor reports in Excel (or PDF) format for review and bid submission
- Practical methods for implementing these programs to suit your operational business needs

Meet Your Trainers
Brian Saylor – Manager, Product Training
As the annual keynote speaker at the QuoteSoft User Conference for seven years since 2008, Brian Saylor provides unparalleled expertise and knowledge. Brian spent 37 years working as an HVAC, piping, and plumbing estimator, and now serves as a QuoteSoft Product Training Team Lead at ConstructConnect.
Kimberly Beede – Product Training Specialist
Kimberly Beede completed her degree work in English and Education. Along with having worked as a Software Trainer and Teacher, Kimberly has a background in Real Estate and Construction. She has been with the QuoteSoft team at ConstructConnect since May of 2024. In her spare time, she can be found tackling DIY projects from automotive and electrical to appliance repairs and plumbing. She also volunteers as a wildlife rehabilitator of injured Eastern Box turtles.
David Skousen – Product Training Specialist
David Skousen has been with the training team at Construct Connect since October of 2023. Before that, he was an estimator, project manager, and worked in various construction trades. He enjoys teaching people new things, giving them new tools to help them be successful, and pizza. He especially enjoys pizza.
Sam Kalstad – Product Training Specialist
Sam Kalstad is a Product Training Specialist for QuoteSoft since 2017. Sam has approx. 30 years’ experience in Eugene, Oregon and Bay Area of California as a commercial HVAC Sheet Metal estimator / project Manager. Prior to joining QuoteSoft, approximately 18 of those 30 years were specific to using QuoteSoft software as either an Estimator or as a Chief Estimator. He very much enjoys assisting QuoteSoft customers and connecting with them making for a very fun and rewarding experience!
Justin Esdohr – Product Training Specialist
Justin Esdohr is a Training Specialist with ConstructConnect since 2024. Justin has 18+ years in the construction industry. Prior to ConstructConnect, Justin spent his career as a Commercial HVAC/Sheet Metal Installer and Fabricator, then pivoted to a role as an HVAC Estimator. He enjoys helping people achieve more efficiency and consistency in their workflow as well as continually learning in his own professional capacity.
Steve Blair – Product Training Specialist
Steve has been with the QuoteSoft team of ConstructConnect since August of 2024. With 23 years in the survey side of the construction industry, Steve has left his mark on many projects from schools to high rises. He enjoys learning new things and sharing the knowledge he learns with others. When not working, Steve can often be found behind a drum kit or hiking with his wife.
Ken Bedrin – Sr. Product Training Specialist
Ken has worked at QuoteSoft since January of 2022, and has worked in the construction and technology industry for 28+ years. His experience ranges from HVAC installations and service, AutoCAD draftsman, surveyor/MEP layout, project manager, and as an instructor for several design and field layout software platforms. He has a passion for teaching and helping others learn new things and reaching their goals. He is always looking for new challenges and opportunities to grow professionally.
