Being able to import and export projects allow users who are on standalone systems to share jobs. This is a handy feature for a company that wants to take the estimating project and pass it on to a project manager overseeing that job so they can review and modify the original takeoff as needed.
From the job file, you can export or import using the ribbon at the top of the screen This allows you to map the pressure file, along with any components, like wrap or liner, and then save your project to your system for your team to use.
Use this feature to save time when areas on each drawing are identical or very similar. This could be a whole floor that is the same as the floor below, or maybe just a condominium unit that is repeated on multiple floors. Just right click to copy, find the zones pallet to change zones, and then right click again to paste the items into the new zone.
The Analytics pallet on the reports tab can help you easily and quickly choose the fields you want to see and then, using the auto sum button available on each column, set columns you want to Sum, Count, Average etc.
In your reports, you can also use the count and sum functions to be applied to future jobs. Start by using se the field chooser to add or remove fields, then sort, filter or group your data using the drop downs at the top of each column. Use the auto sum symbol to add, count or perform other calculations too. When you’re finished, choose the Save Layout button to name and save the report.

Quick keys allow you to do takeoff on fittings, valves or specialties, and pie is automatically added – no need to do takeoff for pie separately.
While in the takeoff screen, use the Edit option at the top of the screen and then Edit Quick Keys to assign fittings, valves or specialty items to letters on your keyboard. Simply check a pipe size and hit the letter for the item you want add to your takeoff.
